Hello everyone,

I tried to introduce myself in another thread, but I guess that was the wrong place. As stated in the title, I'm from Miami, FL, US. I've been interested in astronomy for quite some time, but never really owned a telescope. I just completed a purchase on a Skyprodigy 130 and figured joining a astro forum would be the next logical step :D

I hope to learn a lot from you all, and hope to make some friends along the way as well.

Thanks for the welcome!

I will be receiving my telescope on wednesday and will rush out of class to set it up. Hopefully the night sky will be clear and I'll be able to get some sights in! Being that I've never seen anything through a telescope, I'm extremely excited to see as much as I can on the first night. Hopefully starting with a nice view of Jupiter..

What was the first item you viewed through a telescope?
