hi nightfisher, it is a bit tricky, so what i am doing now is first take the pic, then a few more then at the end of the session i look through the pictures then use the cameras zoom function with the camera off scope.

Pete, just an idea, but have you tried barlowing the ep you use for afocal, i gave it a go tonight, thinkit worked well but need time to review pics

hi nightfisher, re the barlow..........i do sometimes use a 2X barlow on my 127mm skywatcher, but only when i have the weather conditions and time. latley its just been grab and shoot because of the clouds, when using the 2X barlow on my 8" scope i feel as though i could just reach out and touch the moon, but again to use my 8" scope the weather conditions have to be ok, as that scope takes some setting up.
