MikeD
Hi all. Shot the luminance for this on the 01/09/11 41 @ 300 seconds through my HX916 and 10" newt. And have just got around to some colour, Conditions have not been good so It was a bit of a fight to get a reasonable result from the data but got there in the end.25 @ 300 seconds R13 @ 300 seconds G20 @ 300 seconds B Different total amounts for the RGB's was due to cloud and fog.Mike

MikeD
Thanks Guys.Nice to see someone else shooting with the 10" Newt. Very nice, image. The superior resolution is the draw.Indeed, I also have an 80ed but it hardly ever gets a look in, just love the scale the 10" brings.Mike. Komet
Very nice indeed. Excellent detail with good stars and colour. I like it.Nice to see the trusty old HX916 doing the biz. Really good cameras - (used to own one years ago).
MikeD
The star shapes are not my best work to be honest. It is a great camera despite its age and has served me well since I got it 2nd hand in 2006. I would love to upgrade to a newer mono CCD with a larger chip but I image on a very tight budget (my last scope purchase was 7 years ago:eek:) and it dose a very good job with the newt. It just means if I want to image a larger area I have to put the time in to do a mosaic.Mike.
