My name is Nick and I am from the wonderfully light polluted city of Las Vegas, NV:rolleyes:. I grew up with an amateur astronomer for a father and spent some of my best times gazing into the skies with him through his 12" Meade LX-200 (if id do recall correctly). I have always been addicted to our wondrous universe and am now after some absentee years starting on my own journey. I will be taking time into researching the best scope for myself as I hope to make a purchase soon, but also hope to find a way to make a living in the field as well some day.

A very warm welcome to the SGL, nice to see you are starting your own journey

Your father has a good eye for scopes as I think the LX200 12" in a wonderful scope
