Swan sunk by single sub!

got my new kit out tonight, and managed just one single unguided sub of the swan nebula between clouds....grrrrr! its a poor show i know....promise to try harder next time!

Wow, that is terrific! Balance out the blue in the background, and it would be even better !

A single sub? What ISO , and were you using an F:6.3 adapter on the back of the scope ?

good morning guys....thanks for the kind words, but i was hoping to get my new autoguider going last night, and anyway, had i of done so, then the clouds rolled in anyway!!! In answer to one of your questions: ISO 800, 100 second sub. no F:6.3 adapter used.

Brilliant result from one sub and I think you should get Post Title Of The Year for yours. The Sun newspaper (using the term loosely) would have been proud of that one!

That's a difficult subject to capture being so close to the horizon and only in the sky at a specific time of year. And for a single sub it's very impressive - nice one

There aren't many fleeting moments in astrophotography, but managing to grab that between clouds is as close as it gets to capturing just such a fleeting moment. Great job.
