Another 1st Pic

Hi Guys and Gals,

Got my first clear night last night to use the new scope. So as you do, first up was a look at the moon, I was amazed how close up you can get, a real eye opener.

Anyway, I thought it would be nice to capture the evening on film. My DSLR hasn't arrived yet so I got out my Fuji 6800Z Compact, placed it next to the EP and this is what I got. The camera was set up to autofocus, auto exposure, 100 asa and I used the timer release to save me pushing the button and blurring the picture too much. It's still a little out of focus, I can't wait now to get my new gear so I can start taking some better quality stuff

lol..... actually I thought I had turned it 180 degrees Uploaded it from work so didn't have any proper imaging software.

I Guess I needed to click the "rotate" button just one more time.

It is very, hard hand holding a camera to an eyepiece steady enough to get a good result. You have managed it superbly well there Elijah.

You are another member who is quite adept at that technique.

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone, always appreciated. Get my new Canon 350D today.... so the fun really starts. I see a steep curve ahead.
