which scope is best to buy ? im buying my nephew his first scope he does not get on with binoculars here they are -

How old is he. And they are both the same, so any one. Got one for my six year old nephew he loved it.

They are the same telescope under different brand names. The Heritage 76 is probably slightly better value because it is supplied with a finderscope, you need to pay extra tor a finderscope for the Celestron version of the telescope.

I'd look at binos if I were you. Cheaper than a scope, more useful and if it turns out to be a fad your not too out of pocket....

The heritage 76 is a fantastic little scope. More stable and easier to use than binos. And it's a real telescope...that's important.

You could always consider a small refractor, like the Travelscope 70, or the ST80. I hear they're good as grab-and-go scopes.

wow, £28 is a bargain.

I have two good scopes and also do not get on with binoculars, even small ones.

this sort of scope will be a great starter and at that price I am even considering one myself for a travel scope.
