  1. People say that cooling down your telescope is good but what does it actually mean and do. How do I cool down a telescope and why should I do it? Stupid question 😅 Thanks
  2. Yes, I am kind of getting bored of Jupiter and Saturn and Mars was well above the horizon
  3. If you live in heavy light pollution a LPR filter could be recommended.
  4. Haha, it’s the black tiny dot moving in the middle in every video.
  5. Hello, I am looking for an new telescope that’s aperture is a big step from my 5 inch. I am kind of interested in a ten inch dobsonian. Does anyone have any suggestions and reviews? Thanks, Neil
  6. Last night was the best! (even though it was cloudy) Second ever attempt to view mars. Unprocessed
  7. You have the diameter of 76mm (which is pretty low) so viewing detail on Mars should be pretty hard. The most suitable eyepiece should be the 12.5 mm,.
  8. Actually, I can see four planets Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Mars.
  9. Are there any new imaging contests?

    Kind regards,

    Neil

We stopped doing this some time ago as the interest had died down somewhat but it's possibly something we will look at again in future.

  10. Jupiter and Saturn are the highest for me! Neil
  11. Why are there only Mars topics and no Jupiter and Saturn? 😂😥
  12. What telescope brand would you choose? Reply below for your favourite telescope brand. It would be really helpful to know which brand to buy. Celestron, Meade, Orion, Skywatcher etc. Thank you for viewing
  13. Always start with bigger focal lengths to find the object. 25mm could be used for wide shots of the moon. 9mm are suitable for viewing saturn and jupiter and you will find that your 4mm will be useless. It gets easy after some experience. Goodluck!
  14. A warm welcome from Australia.
  15. Under most people's names there are signatures and the equipment they use. How do I do that? Regards
  16. How did you get it so clear? I have a five inch as well but all I can see a dot.
