Hi don't cut the bolts I have tried twice and even if you remove a small amount the bolt will be to short to adjust , it's a known problem that anything over 50degs can bend the bolts or they jump under the mount and jam Some of us have the upgrade bolts try and reduce the weight on the mount when you do adjustments to try and stop bolts from bending

Yes johninderby rates it highly it's a nice design has a 2 inch rotation ring so you screw your polarizing filter in there then eyepiece goes in on top and your turn the ring to dim the image Last photo is the rotation ring with 1.25 adapter screwed on top

Hi glad it now working well for you I love my HEQ5 pro , getting set up get quicker the more you do it , you may want to get the latitude upgrade bolts as the standard ones can bend in the mount

One thing i found is using the zoom on a good seeing night once you have a good sharp image look at the zoom to see what setting its on this will give you an idea of what size of fixed focal length to add to your kit I use celestron omni they are not bad the omni barlow has bad reviews so keep clear celestron zoom which works well and a BST x2 barlow Johninderby has used the svony zoom ask him what he thinks of it has a big range on the zoom

You could start with binoculars learn your way round and then research what telescope you fancy getting and that depends on what you fancy doing , visual , DSO , imaging

Hi I have same problem with the house being in the way ( winter time stuck on the patio) but if you go for a star and it lands up out of view just press esc it will ask if you want to stop alignment press 2 for no it will let you look for another star so that helps a bit cos I am still new to this I some times get a star in the wrong place to see it lol

Hi I have the bresser 127 with built in dew shield like your I place my strap around the dew shield so it's just in front of lens element so in your pic it will be half way down the dew shield
