  1. Yes solar is always changing, that's what I like about our nearest star. Thanks, appreciate your comment.
  2. Hi all, a very short session between very fast morning clouds. The dome was being buffeted by gusts of wind and the seeing wasn't that great. I only managed to capture one decent image in Calcium II K, it was impossible to use the HA. I did spot another small spot development in the plage East of AR2822 nearer the North Eastern Limb and what seems like a new plage area on the South Eastern limb coming onto the disk. 100mm AR stopped down to 80mm, zwo asi 178mm Camera.
  3. Hi all, Posting some images from the 12th. I think I caught a C1.5 flare in calcium II K. Pre flare, flare and post flare. Of course I might be wrong but there is definitely a brightening within AR 2822 on the images taken at 09:37UT and 09:47UT the same time as the noted flare beginning at 09:15UT and ending 09:47UT. Time frame in sequence.
  4. I was Jeremy, but didn't do the Tracey Island, I made middle earth, lol.
  5. "It's going to be sunny, it's going to be sunny, it's going to be sunny" 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
  6. Thanks, yes, definitely I'll use some sticky tape, thanks for the tip.
  7. Hi all, with the upcoming partial solar eclipse next month 10th June. I decided to make some filters for the binoculars and eye glasses 👓 for my family and partner to view the eclipse. I used Explore Scientific solar film. All that was needed was a craft knife and I used double sided sticky tape. I did make two extra circles out of used card so I could make two filters for the binoculars. Solar film was £20. It gives a nice yellow image.
  8. Hi all, new plage area on the Eastern limb just coming into disk and some lovely AR's and proms. Screenshots in Calcium II K and HA for info.
  9. Sorry, sunny here most of the day with the occasional shower. Hope you all have some sun soon.
  10. Some lovely activity today still especially the proms. Screenshots in Calcium II K wavelength, but still see those lovely proms.
  11. Nice captures. New AR has been designated AR 2823. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Great observation, I was surprised to see a new spot this morning of the 10th. Well captured. Thanks for sharing.
  13. I've not used one personally but from what others say help's with seeing granulation. I use the baader K-line filter. Slightly more expensive but enhances falcuie and granulation. The top two screenshots use the baader K-line filter. But it's only imaging only, not good for visual.
  14. Congratulations on your first solar image. Well done, especially with a mobile camera.
  15. Hi Paul, the new active region has been designated AR2823.
  16. I was dodging the shower's today and the gusts of wind but happy I got HA, WL and CaK wavelengths before it turned even worse.
  17. Hi all, seems more activity. New active region with two spots in the South Eastern quadrant. Screenshots in WL and Cak for the mo.
  18. Hopefully Tuesday seems promising, Active region should be better placed by then anyway.
  19. Hi all, just posting ha and cak wavelength image's from Friday. New active region.
  20. I went out early cus, forecast later wasn't very good and awful the next several days.
  21. Hi all, heads up, new spot group, screenshot only.
