  1. Kev, I am currently ensconced in Stoke Mandeville Hospital recovering from 7 broken ribs acquired during a stupid mountain biking session last Tuesday evening. This has give me the time to binge read both yours and JamesF's threads. Time very well spent? A cracking build. Gives me some food for thought.
  2. It's reviewed in this months Sky At Night mag. Gets 4.5/5 stars overall. Just seen it and it has got me interested!
  3. Could you go for a shed roof pattern with a fold down 'flap' to the high side to open up the horizon? This would reduce the bracing needed for the pitched roof?
  4. Welcome to the forum DrMaryruth. Love your location! We started our honeymoon a few miles south of you in Hilo. Are you anything to do with the collection of observatories on top of a volcano near you? P.S. Have a like just because
  5. An interesting post iPeace. My take on things is that the right way to do things is the way that gives YOU the most satisfaction and keeps you doing it. I'm new to this game and inverted views is all I know when using a scope. I have previous experience of optics from my law enforcement and military past so know and use correct image equipment frequently. Anyhow- keep on keeping on.
  6. Another Lounger getting very fed up of having to lounge about. Wish the skies would clear.....

  7. Got my first glimpse of it tonight. Grand isn't it?
  8. Here is something I threw together earlier from a retired DeWalt drill case and some spare foam left lying around at work. Just the kit that came with the scope at the moment but room to expand. The little red disc is a home made filter for a mini maglight for illumination when observing. Cut from the lid of a cheese football tub.
