  1. I think people have misunderstood what i was asking? ? i didn't mean that the star party would be dangerous, i meant that me thinking could be dangerous... what i was asking really was would the star party be hindered by smoke and fireworks as it is so close to bonfire night or is it remote enough for this not to be an issue?
  2. I meant me thinking could be dangerous ? not the camping aspect,
  3. I've yet to get myself to this camp site, past dates not really been favourable but there is a possible chance for 2019, i know this camp site is supposed to be a little remote, just thinking(could be dangerous) aloud, the dates for this camp fall over what i would have thought would be Bonfire weekend? which would mean lots of bright explosive things going off in the sky as well as smoke from bonfires, would this not be some what of an issue or does that sort of thing not affect the camp site because of where it is situated? if I'm being daft just tell me to shut up ?
  4. Can't compete with many on here but this is my baby one,
  5. To my eyes it doesn't seem like there is anything wrong with your polar alignment, looks like you nailed it, well done done on your 1st tracked image, looks like you just caught a small part of the roof in bottom left,
  6. And for those that missed it including me, here it is again
  7. I posted this on another thread, but this is one i managed with a Celestron Travel scope 70 on my star adventurer, not very heavy i know, might give the sw ed80 a go, according to the Skywatcher web site, 2.47kg Star Aventurer Celestron Travel Scope 70 Canon 600d ISO 800 Baader UHC-S filter with an additional Light pollution filter I also included a set of darks, bias and flat frames this time, 24 x 60 sec lights 28 x darks 36 x flats 32 x bias
  8. How to set it up for astro time lapse if you could please, i find it easier to follow with narration, many thanks
  9. I have just got myself one of the red star adventurers, going to update the firmware on it, I wouldn't mind seeing one with commentary if you could, Regards James
  10. I have sent A Skywatcher Mak 127 over to Spain early last year, no problems what so ever, as @ollypenrice i used, if memory serves me right UPS and i cannot fault them, just make sure you pack it well, it would probably be best if you find out postal charges before hand, chances are there will 2 or 3 variations and then let the buyer choose which method they want, Package was delivered on time at the other end and in one piece as well, buyer was very happy,
  11. Well i managed to get out last night(Sat) to do a little grab and go session on Orion, and it was only little. My set up was, EQ3-2 on aluminium tripod (first time using this) Canon 600d (unmodified) Skywatcher 130P-DS (WITH CURVED SPIDER) At the moment this is not the ideal set up as i only have one counter weight, which is not enough when using the 130P-DS, so to improvise i ended up balancing one of my power drills on the counter weight bar (not ideal) I could only do a rough polar align (by eye) as i do not have a polar scope for the EQ3-2 at the moment So after a little messing around i ended up taking (according to DSS) 30 light frames @ 45 seconds (best i could achieve) total of 22 mins 54 sec i then cheated a little and used a set of dark and bias frames i had from previous session it was then processed in Photoshop cc using some of @steppenwolf tips from Dark Art or Magic Bullet (really need to read this again) As is understandable the image is really short on data and proper set up, but overall quite happy with what i got, 1st Image is my set up with balancing power drill 2nd image ORION
  12. That is a very good image, you could run HLVG in photoshop, it is a good little plug-in for removing that green cast, have a look here, http://www.deepskycolors.com/archive/2010/04/26/hasta-La-Vista-Green.html hope you don't mind but i just ran your image through it, this is the result, BEFORE AFTER Regards

Would just like to say a big thankyou to everyone at FLO for outstanding customer service and helpfulness with my purchase of Lunt white light Herschel wedge, nothing seems to much trouble for these guys and girls, even though i left it to last minute and enquired about it after hours and wanted next day delivery (Sat) FLO did everything they could to accomodate, Package duly received by Saturday lunchtime, Outstanding.
