Very, very well Shaun. The sky is allowing big mag. The low power view is jaw dropping though and I must get the reducer figured out with the ZZ- it doesn't need much... I'm maximizing the views with it for sure,.

  2. TSA120 is being prepared for shipping...

Clearly still very much in the grip of winter Gerry. Mixed picture here, been on a day trip to Kielder, the distant hills are white otherwise, cold, some sunshine but with more snow or sleet forecast. Look forward to hearing when you get the big mirror dob.

Nothing as exciting here Gerry, just wall to wall grey cloud being replaced with the same for a couple of weeks now ?

I hope to be able to pull out a bit more galaxy detail in the objects that allow. I also hope to be able to give views of an eyepiece full of galaxies for any friends and family. Oh and low power bino the moon and, and ...:icon_biggrin:

  5. The little 200mm f3.8 mirror is being figured, the rest of the scope is nearly completed- not long now

  6. Crystal clear out- what do I look for, what scope do I try? Waste time on really faint stuff or cherry pick some nice objects?

I have so much I want to see...

    1. Pig

      Pig

LoL Gerry :icon_biggrin: it sounds like you have to cherry pick ...... or you could point each scope at different objects.

We did good Shaun... 2 scopes, richfield and some great 15" views. Pickerings Triangle showed a great black hole in the middle of it with great tendrils off to the sides...

Power was out here for 11 hours, they are getting the lines ready for winter lol!

  7. It focuses  The Zeiss 25.1mm - 6.7mm now works in my 15" dob :hello2:

It likes the OIII Pip, but for some reason I had a hard time with it- I expected a bigger nebula- this only shows as a faint steak in my 15" - give it a try! Keeping Propus out of the FOV helps..... and it wants largish exit pupil...your 24mm is perfect!

  11. -33c on the thermometer...
