Can anyone tell me when there is even the slightest chance of a clear night all night in southern England? Really losing the will with all this darn cloud. Where in the world should I choose to move to for clear skies?!

The clearest place was said to be Margate. Particularily poor on the West of the UK, that includes Cornwall and Devon. If there was a clear Wednesday night could you actually do it - Work?? Move to? Atacama Desert is good - anywhere that has ground based telecpes is an indicator, big chunks of Australia, in the UK maybe try Scilly Isles and Channel Islands. Sark is a designated Dark Sky Island.
