  1. I did, mentioned it in first post. I did look into that but it’s over budget.
  2. Unfortunately too short a focal length for me at 400mm, plus i changed from an 80mm scope so looking a bigger aperture. I’m looking 500mm or close to this to mate up when my other 500mm scope on a dual rig.
  3. What about this option, with the 0.75 reducer? APM Telescopes Super ED APO Astrograph 107/700 Apochromatic Refractor Telescope with 3" APM Focuser (365astronomy.com) APM Riccardi x0.75 Small Reducer (astrograph.net)
  4. The RIRED seems to be an excellent price on TS. Tempted to pick it up regardless. The M63 version has a slightly better spot diagram so likely just that one.
  5. Thanks for the link. I am for sending my current SharpStar back, don’t think I’ll buy another.
  6. I'm after a 4" triplet, something around 500mm/F5, with a good flat field and nice round stars. Principally it will be used with a 28.4mm diagonal APS-C sensor, but would be nice if it delivered a wider flat field. I was chatting to Jessen about the APM 105/650, with the 0.75x reducer, giving 487mm at F4.65, but unfortunately this scope is just out of my budget. What would be your recommendation for a suitable scope? Thanks in advance Adam.
  7. Good idea, I did have the old pc running beside the new PC and was copying all the information over. I didn’t think to look for that file!
  8. Cheers Alan. I’ll try these later. I packed in at midnight after wrestling with everything. I dont like the new Device Hub interface compared with POTH.
  9. I've bought a new PC and tonight I decided to swap over to it. I was anticipating problems - POTH is no longer supported on ASCOM so I'm using the new DEVICE HUB. Keep getting this message, any help appreciated:
  10. I'm running my 268M camera successfully off a USB 2.0 computer, as it doesnt have USB 3.0 - could you try running off a slower USB slot to see if it works?
  11. I’m currently setting up an SQM-LE, and rather than run a power supply to the housing, it’s seems to be possibly to supply power via the Ethernet cable. The input voltage on the SQM is 5-6V, but POE seems to be 48V? Can anyone recommend a suitable device? Thanks and clear skies
  12. There are x2 as many green pixels as red of blue so maybe this is the reason. Offset 50 seems ok too Can you post your flats here?
  13. Great start! I think that everyone who bought a 2600MC has ‘tested’ it on M42. Me included lol
  14. New to CMOS too, but I’m sure Gain 100 is the correct value for this particular camera. What have you set offset to? Maybe this value is too low and an increase will move the histogram right a bit.
  15. I have that adapter. It comes with the ZWO filter drawer, it’s 100% solid as a rock.
  16. Fair enough, you are tied in to Windows then with the mounts your bought.
  17. @teoria_del_big_bang @DaveS I hadnt come across the word 'dross' but after the laughing responses to my post I did a google search and became enlightened. I assumed it was some weird version of Linux or whatever 😂
  18. Hi Dave, is this a different operating system, seen it mentioned a few time now. Cheers adam.
  19. Nice one Bob, nice detail and colour coming through.
  20. Thanks Richard. Have yet to get another go with my 2600MC. Waiting on an adapter to get my FF attached to the scope (M74-M68)
