Same here, not bothering tonight. Still a little windy too.

I did venture out with the bins for half an hour, but the bright waxing moon was a bit of a spoiler!

As they seem to be correct on bad weather, don't count on doing anything Sunday. Looks like 120% rain cover everywhere.

I don't know any amateur astronomer young or old without an observatory who doesn't have a backache.

Yep, the Milky Way was very vivid as well...

And it works - so much easier than pressing the keys on the computer, Just to many buttons to think about. I did discover how to turn the force feedback vibration off however ;)

what guidescope are you using with the firefly? Just out of interest...always wondered if it could do the job.

oh yes it is a must i run mine of a generic ps3 pad on a usb cable

have a play with the display options, the main issue is its not as fluid on panning about.. Hold middle button iirc

do you live in a different part of the south of england to me ?

It was lovely, calm, clear and the lightest breeze. The sky got nicely dark and I could see a good swathe of the milky way. Tthough despite good transparancy the seeing was only average. Almost perfect might be a fairer assesment. Only problems; the mount decided to let me down with some nasty tracking issues and the watering system in the adjacent bowling green came on around 01:30hrs and gave the kit a heavy misting!

Oh and the clouds, which are winning so far :(
