  1. Yes the Berlebach tripods aren’t exactly the cheapest. Fortunately I already had one from another mount and it does make for a very portable combination.
  2. Very nice. ? Is delivery 2/2 a tripod? Berlebach maybe?
  3. Don’t have one myself but Amazon does. ? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fantasy-Fields-Bookcase-Bookshelf-Water-based/dp/B01BNL4UAK
  4. I assume you’re using a serial cable with a usb converter to connect.
  5. Yes it was. Went for it as I used to have one. Made by Long Perng and was available from a few different places. For visual couldn’t really see any difference between the. FPL51 glass used and an FPL53 scope. Will see how it performs with a Herschel Wedge. The red solar finder is a coincidence as I already had it.
  6. Revelation 80ED f6.8 for grab’n’go duties. In decent condition. Typical ED frac with FPL51 glass and good enough for what I want it for. Had one years ago and found it gave very nice views so when I came across another one at a good price bought it. ?
  7. Wasn’t under the Ultimaker name but think it’s the same.. Printed at full scale would be about a metre long.
  8. Small nozzles do give good results but can take an age to print. Here’s a T-Rex skull that took me about 11 hours to print. ? Have the files for the rest of the skeleton but hate to think how long it would take to print.
  9. What slicer are you using? I bought Simplify3D which made a tremendous improvement over any of the free ones.
  10. Hope there will be a build thread. Hmmmm perhaps this forum needs a space model section. ??
  11. How about a Milenium Falcon coffee table? Where else do you put a large scale MF? ?
  12. Makes me wonder what other space themed models are lurking in SGL members homes. ?
  13. Will be very nice when finished. ? Have a Lego one about half that size in the lounge.
  14. Part of a model of a Rocketdyne F1 as used on the Saturn V ?
  15. Good mod. Wish Skywatcher would fit better saddles or at least have optional saddles. Replaced the stock saddle on my AZ-EQ5 GT with an ADM one although had to fit a new puck to the mount as well.
  16. Not the cheapest way but Skywatcher do a serial to usb cable. Is there a local Skywatcher dealer? https://www.firstlightoptics.com/celestron-mounts/sky-watcher-synscan-usb-to-serial-rs-232-cable.html
  17. Had the same problem recently. Turned out to be the serial / usb adaptor that was the problem updating the driver didn’t help so bought another adaptor and no problem.
  18. From here. http://www.wdsltd.co.uk/product/3394/hand-knob-bakelite-steel-screw-wds-8148/ Part No: 8148-22118 John
  19. Just did a quick count and I have eight devices that receive Netflix. ?
  20. If you have a blu-ray player or set top box or games console most allow you view Netflix in case you don’t have a smart TV.
  21. You just need the AR90 f8.8 to complete the set. ?
  22. From Amazon. Price varies depending on colour/pattern. Really comfy round the neck as well. ? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0751ZY6LF?ref_=pe_3187911_248764861_302_E_DDE_dt_1&th=1
  23. A simple but useful item. Padded strap for my new bins. Has quick disconnects so easy to remove the strap plus has two little expandable pouches that will convienently hold the lens covers so no more where did I put the lens covers. ? John
