  1. Altair Vixen Mini Saddle for my photo tripod. Nice compact saddle that is just the right size.
  2. EQ6 extension pilar for my AZ-EQ5 mount. ? The EQ5 pilar was taller than I wanted so went for the EQ6 one. And yes that is an EQ6 tripod with 2” legs. I’m using a Geoptik adaptor.
  3. Wearing two eyepatches at once is not a good look. ? Don’t know who he is and don’t want to know.
  4. The Apollo astronauts also used eyepatches. This eye patch was provided to astronaut Michael Collins during the Apollo 11 mission for maintaining night vision in one eye during Earth and lunar orbits as well as covering one eye during use of the navigational eyepiece. First used during Apollo 9, these rubber patches were available in both the command and lunar modules.
  5. Some round black and orange things. ? Not bad for £15.99 delivered for a brand new set. ?
  6. What really makes me shudder at the horror of it is Amazon’s in home delivery seevice presently in the US that they want to introduce in the UK. Idea is you allow the Amazon driver to have an entry code to your door so they can enter your house and leave the package inside. Yea right as though I want that to happen let alone needing a new door lock fitting. They claim it’s safe as the key code is a one time use code that’s only valid for a few hours but still the driver would be alone in your house.
  7. Couldn’t be worse than this delivery fail. ? https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/local-news/look-what-under-fire-delivery-2297921 Should always put the seat down. ? And more brilliance from Hermes. https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/derby-news/derby-mums-shock-after-catching-2288676
  8. My dustbins are kept behind a locked gate well out of the reach of delivery drivers. Have found a few packages that were tossed over the gate and landed on top of the bins though. ?
  9. There are many very good delivery drivers out there that actually have fully functioning brains and treat your package properly. However there are also those that would fail an IO test. ? Bit of a lottery sometimes as to which one you get.
  10. Those are indeed pickled gherkins not cucumber. This is a jar of pickled cucumbers. Proper home made ones. ?
  11. Hmmmm...........wonder what you could mount on that. ?
  12. Altair Self Centering Smartphone Telescope Adaptor
  13. California businesses are now required to warm of potential health hazrads of goods sold. In this case I’d imagine it’s down to the paint used on the weight so don’t put the weight in your mouth and chew on it or something.. ?
  14. Not that cheap really but it is beautifully made. Got it from RotherValleyOptics. https://www.rothervalleyoptics.co.uk/search/for/Geoptik+adapter/page/1/
  15. Skywatcher EQ6 tripod with 2” legs and a Geoptik HEQ5 Tripod Adaptor. While I love my Berlebach wooden tripod didn’t want to have to keep swapping the Skytee II and AZ-EQ5 GT mounts so decided to get a reasonably sturdy tripod for the Skytee. With the Geoptik adapter will be able to use it for anything from an EQ5 to an EQ6 in the future if I want. ? Also will tuck away in the corner of the conservatory behind the door. ?
  16. I do like the White Cat although the Red Cat loooks very nice as well. Now if they come out with a Tabby Cat I will be impressed. ?
  17. It did require cutting a larger hole for the focuser so lots of small holes drilled to cut out the new hole. Not difficult just takes a bit of time. Mounting plate was from Telescope Express. I also replaced the mirrors with Orion Optics 1/10 pv ones and fitted one of their mirror cells as well.
  18. Should be fine. I used to use a 6” f8 on a Skytee II and pillar.
  19. Little 6x30 RA errect image finder with a black bracket for the 80mm grab’n’go frac. ? Now for a bit of looking at chimney pots and aerials. ?
  20. A simple to use synthesizer supposedly. Simple compared to brain surgery I suppose. ?
  21. First impressions are it feels really solid and having the clamping part split in two means it should really clamp down well. Although just using vixen type dovetails at the moment I want to be able to upgrade to the Losmandy type later on. A Primaluce dovetail would look nice with Big Red. ?
