  1. m31 can be very good sometimes. if everything is spot on you can see dust lanes rather than a mass of light. but as you say, generally not exciting

  13. nice report mercian. you had a few problems but you got through it. the dew heater will eventually clear your glass but best putting it on before dew sets. prevention is better than cure

  15. @John you can make your own like i did for around 9k sell some of your finders, sorry i mean apo,s and you will be laughing 🤣 seriously, if you can transport a big dob or have a dark garden it is worth it
  16. from a dark site orion will show green. ring nebula will show colours as john says blue snowball as well. to name just a few. veil in the summer will show maroon as well

  19. brilliant report robert. nice to read a great report like that. cant wait for my next dark sky trip astro crumb do a great filter slide. might be better than a wheel. moonlite do a sexy one as well
