  1. That looks very good, lots of detail. As you say, you must had have moments of good seeing! Angie
  2. I missed the original post for this one so just had a quick look. This redo, the second image, is much sharper/smoother - can it be those two things at once?! Angie
  3. Good images under bad conditions. The IR image is much sharper. Which IR pass filter do you use? I have the Astronomik 742, but haven't used it so far this year. Angie
  4. Nicely detailed image. I dragged it into IrfanView so I could check it out at a smaller size and it looks better to my eyes! Angie
  5. Nice image! The first image for me. Angie
  6. Nice capture Martyn. I always envy the extra detail that is captured with larger aperture 'scopes! Angie
  7. Thank you Neil. The scope is the Nexstar 8SE SCT, on the EQ5 mount. I knew when I typed in the equipment list that it didn't look right, but couldn't think why! I also forgot to mention that the Mars image was resized to 120% in Registax. Angie
  8. Very nice image! As Simon said the GRS is showing up nicely. Angie
  9. I couldn't believe the difference between Jupiter and Mars. Jupiter was so clear, but Mars was a total mess, I couldn't even tell what it was for a few minutes! Angie
  10. Very nice, detailed image. Angie
  11. Very nice Simon. Plenty of detail in the wake of the GRS. Seeing was pretty good here last night night but there seemed to be some high cloud or something lurking about! Angie
  12. Some of the best seeing I have ever had for Jupiter, marred a bit by (I think) high thin cloud that affected the histogram, and gave a few fuzzy frames. Anyway, I am really pleased with the outcome. Minimal processing in Registax 6. Jupiter 12-08-2022-0332ut After Jupiter I decided to take my first look of the season at Mars. The seeing was terrible, Mars was bouncing around all over the chip and looked like a fuzzy ball most of the time with clear seconds every now and then. Very disappointing after Jupiter. I made one capture and was quite surprised at what Registax managed to make of it. Mars 12-08-2022-0435ut. Over-processed, I know! 8SE ota, Basic EQ5 mount, ADC, 2x barlow, ASI224 Angie
  13. Three images from the 7th August. Seeing was nothing to write home about, but we take what we can get! Jupiter 07082022-0258ut Jupiter 07082022-0339ut Jupiter 07082022-0414ut 8SE ota, Basic EQ5 mount, ADC, 2x barlow, ASI224 Angie
  14. Great capture Martyn, the banding is showing nicely. Angie
  15. I know what you mean, I'm really struggling with the processing this year! Angie
