  2. If you look, they look like a clone of the RST-135 mount. either way, they seems to be getting very good reviews. I'm just holding off until the start of next season before i get one, as it's pointless buying now as the season is just about over. Not going to buy 1 to pack it away for several months.
  3. Very nice @JeremyS - sometimes i love my one and only Ethos (an 8mm) and other times i'm not sure (about the 100-degree FOV) and find my Delos more comfortable and somehow "lazier" to use - the to and fro is preventing me buying any more of either to fill in the gaps at lower focal lengths (i could do with a 6mm of one or the other definitely and possibly one other medium focal length) so its a good cost saving bit of paralysis to prolong on my part 😉 Do you like them unreservedly? Even in the longer focal lengths that may engender larger exist pupils?
  4. One Starfield 102mm f/7 ED Doublet Refractor. Customer Return No longer required. Fully tested in our workshop, all working A-OK. Generally good condition but a slight amount of dust in the optics from usage but not worthy of cleaning. Cosmetic only. Open box. Full manufacturers warranty. £899.00 £809.00 (saving £90.00)
  5. Yes with reducer it's platesolving at 1480mm. I think native scale is around 0.5" with the ASI533MM or 1" binned 2x2. Guiding hovers around 0.6"/0.8". Hope we get better weather during summer as I will be imaging for the few darkish hours we get! My north view is pretty good apart from sky glow from Birmingham city so can keep popping at Cassiopeia and Cygnus in narrowband
  6. One iOptron HEM15 Hybrid Harmonic Drive Equatorial GoTo Mount (without iPolar). Customer Return Customer changed their mind. Complete, in good condition working A-OK. Open box. Full manufacturers warranty. £1,159.00 £1,043.00 (saving £116.00)
  7. yeah that would be an easy fix but I am missing the complete original focuser assembly which the feathertouch focuser replaced. I have o ly a hole with a floating bolt sticking out. so whenever the scope is changing angles the weight of the mirror is putting stress on the EAF mount and things go out of focus. what I need is the complete original focuser including the orange plate (with the 3 screws)
  8. When I started on the Ethos journey 2 years ago knew I wouldn’t rest until I’d completed the set……
  9. Of course I don't have to pay duties being I'm in the States, but what I have ordered from HPS has been excellent service. They are my first goto when I'm looking for something.
  10. Some of his lectures are available on YouTube. Anyone who thinks they understand Mongolian nose trumpeting, doesn't

  16. One iOptron HAZ31 Alt-Az Strain Wave Mount. Customer Return Customer decided to go a different route. Otherwise complete in good condition. Tested in our workshop - A-OK! Open box. Full manufacturers warranty. £1,949.00 £1,754.00 (saving £195.00)

  19. Interested in your decision, is this based on the quality of images, reduced noise etc from some back to back testing of various settings. I've generally left my AA26c in HCG and gain 100 more because I don't want to waste precious imaging time with experimentation, so am interested in your findings.
  20. That close up, FOV is crazy David, awesome Is that still with the reducer? Hope you get something before summer arrives. Seeing it on the AZEQ6 has me reconsidering looking at one of these - it's (unsurprisingly) still a bit of a beast all in!
  21. Yes, your right. That would be the correct method for perfect collimation, in an ideal situation high up in the Andes with plenty and more time to fiddle with Bobs Knobs! Back here in Gulf Stream Alley, the donut method is as good as I'm ever likely to get it. I doubt I will ever look through the scope until the planets come back around again. A couple of test images from the other evening. Single Ha sub of 5 mins and Lum sub at 60s. The Lum has a bit of guiding error it seems but stars are reasonably round. The Ha looks pretty good to my eye.

  23. Beyond my abilities so far, but I've watched your YouTube channel quite a lot over last couple of months and it's been a great help.
  24. Many thanks, most appreciated. It certainly does look to be a Kson. I explored Alibaba and found it matches another of the Kson mounts: Ekcentrik-Advanced ED80 which has a clearer photo and matches.
