I had some old tripod legs so made this

Yes photo taken tonight after testing looking at Venus & Mars.

I poured molten lead in to the end of one leg & will do the same with the other

when I get some more lead, for now I taped a piece of steel bar in to the other leg.

The 2 uprights are made from stainless steel but could be made from wood.

Do you know of one that will take the weight of my Quantum 4 20 x80s & it needs to be cheap!!

I don't know - not tried mine with anything quite that heavy, but it's more than adequate for the Apollo 15x70 which is a pound lighter. Seems you're just over the other side of the Forest from me - if you want to meet up and try one out, drop me a PM.
