Sombrero and M101 with Evostar ED80

Great night last night lovely and clear after a drop of rain so decided to stay out till gone 2am, glad I did got to have another go at my favourite galaxy's. Have resisted adding star spikes to these two they look much nicer with out them, it makes a nice change to see these wonderful Galaxy's surrounded by space and stars

Telescope Evostar ED80 with focal reducer 0.85x

50x1.25sec subs ISO 1600

30 darks flats and bias

Stacked in DSS processed in PS CS5

Camera 350D modded

Thank you Gina it was fun using my new focal reducer and it was lovely sitting under all those stars last night with my binoculars just enjoying the view of the heavens above me totally chills me out.

Thank you spoon the scope is skywatcher evostar ed80 and the camera is my old canon 350d that I modded last month.

That focal reducer does the business. A pair of belting images there QM. That sombrero is a stunner.

Thank you John, there's something really special about the Sombrero dont know what it is but I really like that galaxy more then any of the others I've seen, well maybe the needle galaxy comes second to the Sombrero.

Thanks Ian yes that reducer is brilliant I cant wait to start imaging M31 when it comes round again this year I am going to really go to town on it with the evostar and the reducer hopefully I will have got myself an HEQ5 by then as well.

Yep I got another super nova that makes me laugh the other night imaging M95 I get a supernova and then last night imaging M101 I had no idea they were even there so that has really made my day. Thanks for pointing that one out to me Roger
