We had some snow last nite, nothing tonite yet. WH can it really get too cold for snow ? I thought it snowed up there however cold it gets.

It sometimes snows at very cold temps, but usually above -10 or so. At -15 snow is pretty unusual around here.

You are probably, right, and as I was driving in to work this morning, it occurred to me that the coldest temps are usually accompanied by high pressure systems, in which precipitation is unlikely. We are having temps of about -12 (which is seasonal weather for this time of year) and absolutely clear blue skies. So, "too cold to snow" is a bit of an old wives' tale, it still doesn't often snow when it's really cold.
