Hi Andy,

I'm actually in Wistaston so very close to you.

The 130p is a very good starter scope and will keep you happy for a long time.

You could also do some basic astrophotography with that scope quite cheaply.

I'm happy to pass on any help I can.

Great - thanks for the welcome! Already been in touch with dellis (Dave) who is close by so looks like a decent scene around here which is good.

Thanks for your offer of help, I'll take you up on it! Thinking of some bins for now to get a feel for things before commiting to a scope so any help/ advice would be great.

PS I would be interested in buying a used scope off here if anyone is looking to sell in order to upgrade. I'll keep an eye on the adds once my 'probation' is up :)

Would be good for some pointers on how to get the most out of it too.
