Hi have been inspired by space for years and last nights 'the sky at night' and Brian Cox's show was the final straw.

I need a scope!

My Dad lives in an extremely remote area of the Scottish Highlands and the sky up there is simply breathtaking with the naked eye so would be unimaginable through a scope.

I am a COMPLETE novice but I do believe in the dangers of false economy so I am thinking of an Explorer 130P SynScan™ AZ GOTO Telescope. I do like the idea of the GOTO feature as I think all the searching may prove frustrating for a total newbie.

Anyway - hello to all :)
