M35 & NGC 2158

Hi

Not been out lately due to catching some Man Flu, I've recently aquired a Celestron Omni XLT 102ED refractor to be used on field trips, it's got the same fov which I get from my MN190 when used with a DSLR.

But anyway, here's a test shot with the scope of M35 & NGC 2158, taken with a Unmodded 500D, 24x 4mins subs, 15x flats & 15x Bias @ISO1600

Just love that 2158...I can spot it in the 10 inch scope but its a fine cluster in its own right in pictures like yours..

Great shot Nadeem and the colour has come out really well in NGC2158 with the older golden colour stars contrasting agaisnt the newer stars in M35

A gem of an Image Nadeem. ngc2158 really is prominent here.

M35 is a really nice open cluster, but the pairing with 2158, which a great deal further, makes this quite special. That 4" XLT is a great performer.

Seems like the Man Flu has been prominent over the hollidays, mine started Xmas eve, only just recovering - just as the moon was allowing more RGB time as well .

Nice image, this framing of the two objects is really striking.

Colour and detail in NGC 2158 looks good.
