The Moon, 11-12-10

Took a spur o' the moment drive up to the local wind-farm and parked-up for an hour or so. Took six 1000 frame vids @ 30fps through the 110mm refractor, but through some nasty, wispy cloud & airborne ice particles. End result? Not bad, considering. :

Seeing was awful... boiling, waving, wibbling, whatever... Nasty. Of course, as happens... I had packed up almost everything when I noticed the crappy, wispy cloud had all but vanished. :) Typical. The lappy's battery was toast by then anyway, and I was starving, so no biggie. :D

Thanks guys... I still have yet to get the hang of exposure times with the DMK - there's a bit of blow-out around the limb, and I've over-sharpened it a bit - evident in the slightly geodesic crater edges. However, I am happy to be making progress - this recent weather & car problems have made this my first outing for many weeks.
