Just a thought: if Ive got this right and all the individual stars are in our galaxy, would it not be possible to therefore strip them out of the image and show simply ONLY the actual target galaxy, thus seeing it as an intergalactic traveller might, without the noise from the Milky Way?

yes you can.....it will take quite a bit of work to get it looking right

Dunno why but the pre-HA one if favoured by me.

Anywho, I keep coming back here over and over. This M31 is the benchmark as far as I'm concerned.

So my efforts (when I begin) will be to attempt this quality. That way, when I fall short, it's still be great :eek:
