This is the last pic i did with the canon 450d. This is 12 x 5min subs with 105 darks and 60 bias and 60 flats stacked in deep sky stacker and processed in ps4 hope you enjoy.Can't wait to see what the 500d brings hopefully i will have more luck with this camera thanks for looking Ian.

105 darks? is thats a typo or did you really do that many?

yeah i had a issue with some sort of banding in the camera and the only way to tame it was to do that many darks, no typo error

thanks alan and rich for the comments i'am starting to learn how to get the colour balance right, because the clip in filter does give the star's a greeny ting before

WOW kudos to your patience! lol. But at least if you ever needed a master dark for other things in the future you have a mother of a dark to use there!

There's no way you should have to take that many darks. There is a thing in Pixinsight which appears to address Canon banding issues, but I haven't looked at it. Harry?
