M27 Ha OIII

So last week I was in France and took Ha and OIII filtered lights of M27. Around 15 images of 10 minutes per filter, Mak-Newt 150mm F5, Starlight H9 camera.

I was so so happy with the monochrome images ... and even less with the combine ... but then J-P Metsavainio took a go at my fits.

So credits to him: processed by J-P Metsavainio, http://astroanarchy.zenfolio.com/"

I need to get more Ha, and I need to learn how to bring out more detail ... my version pales in comparison.

Yves.

Thats brilliant O3 you've got as this is faint but the widerfield may help. For Ha you will need 4-5hrs to get it deep but this is a great start.

As you say 8bit is not really good enough for initial stretching of any deep space image its got to be 16bit so all the more impressive.

John.
