Cocoon and Barnards Dark Nebula B168

It seems like an age since my last image this was taken last Sunday night and last night. Both sessions were cut short by cloud. Exposure 16 x 10 mins with CCD with a neodymium filter fitted .

I then combined some previous data from 2009 with registar. Exposure 49 x 10mins.

What a lovely image, those dark dust lanes really stand out. The star colours seem to stand out more in the top image and the Cocoon more in the lower but I like them both. What was the camera?

The stars really do seem to look sharp from edge to edge.

This is a cracker Kevin, it's great what Registar can do with old data

You can see the difference in the sharpness towards the edges, the first one looks tighter, although the second one is a better image due to more signal

If you send me one signal sub from each session I can run it through CCD inspector to show you the field flatness difference (that's if you don't have it already)
