Hi all, yet another newb to the site. :)

I've long been interested in astronomy. I love science anyway, but there is something special about astronomy - space is just fascinating, and beautiful! However, I was never really sure where to start. Recently I've been thinking about getting a telescope and I've been researching as much as I can online, and this site has been an absolutely massive help, especially for equipment tips. (Think I'm leaning towards the Skywatcher Heritage 130p).

Hopefully I can get a scope in the next month or so, and I can't wait to get started!

Welcome to the forum, I'm a beginner myself even though I've been interested for years. It's a very welcoming and informative forum and I hope you enjoy it.

The witches series of Pratchett books are great and I really enjoyed them. Can we call you nanny?

No problem, Gytha Ogg (or Nanny Ogg) is one of my favourite characters from Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. :)
