Hi everyone, Just thought I'd say hello again cos I've been away for awhile, what did i miss?. i see the forum is growing nicely with lots of new members, while i was away i haven't done much observing but, i have just bought a 8" revelation DOB which should be here tomorrow, so i will be testing it out tomorrow night weather permitting and maybe catch a comet or 2 .

Yep james/geppetto cant wait to give it a try, do you think i would getaway with putting it on a CG-4 mount ?

Should be ok that Al i had the skywatcher 8" on a EQ3 mount for a while not perfect but acceptable

You should just get away with it. The fact its f6 rather than f5 like James' Skywatcher doesn't help though....

Thanks for all the replies, I will try to set it on the cg-4 mount when i can afford some tube rings, but as it stands i haven't even tried it on the DOB mount yet, dam clouds , oh well maybe tonight
