SGL 2024 Challenge 2 - DSO Sky Survey

This is Abell 2151, the Hercules Galaxy Cluster, centred on NGC 6045. 116 x 2mins Lum, 110 x 2 mins RGB captured with the Esprit 150/QHY268 dual rig.

Annotated images are being posted so I've included one.

Skywatcher Star Adventurer GTI

ZWO ASI585MC

ZWO ASIair Plus

180 x 30 second images dithered every 10 frames

A few more to survey. This time in Draco.

Tidying this morning, I noticed Deneb and Vega overhead. Nice to see so many galaxies in this challenge; a reminder that eye-candy season is just around the corner🤥

M106 HaLRGB. An awful lot going on in the background with interacting galaxy pairs and large galaxy clusters all over the field. 

There are hundreds of quasars in this image as well, with the furthest having a redshift of 3.815, meaning that this light has been travelling through space for over 12 billion years before hitting my camera sensor :)
