That's a very encouraging start. It may be that, in some areas, a strategy of overnight light reduction, rather than a full switch off, is the way to go. Of course, that requires lighting that can be dimmed. With LED replacements that is possible in principle, though I suspect that some units don't have that capability.

We went there on holiday last year just for the clear skies.  Unfortunately, every evening for the entire week was cloudy!    I did wake up once and saw that the sky was clear, but it clouded over before I got dark adapted. ☹️

The Space guard Centre tour was very interesting.  It's aimed at the general public so is fairly basic, but I did learn a few things.
