First Rough from some of last nights Data - I forgot to bring the flats , bias and darks with me

IC5146 The Cocoon Nebula 10x300s ISO800 Canon 350D filter Removed on Megrez 72 FF III with Hutech IDAS P2

This is great, you have captured the dark nebulosity nicely and you know I like wide-fields so it ticks the boxes for me!

It really is becoming my favourite FOV and you can still get reasonable crops of the main target...

Need to Clean the 350D and or the Megrez 72 image train again though

I'll post the other targets without having a quick clean up...

Got M3 , M13 and M51 almost ready to post...

It's not bad for 50 mins the skies last night were awesome until they clouded over again at 2.30 am... will definitely give this target another visit and spend some proper time on it...

Which "muppet" took the Flats, Darks and Bias at ISO 800 then spent the night imaging at ISO1600 then ....

I did try letting DSS "use" them but results looked worse than the "rough" ... so I think i'll leave it as is and just get a lot more data on this target next time as it was another first for me...

Very nice Billy shame about the flats and darks I did this last year and did a test at 3200 iso 30 sec exposures it came out pretty good

The mismatch in the ISO of the BFD's resulted in a very streaky image so it was much better left well alone... I think I did an ok job of covering up the motes ...

Cheers Bazza.. the filter removed 350D in combo with the Hutech IDAS does seem to do a good job on the star color front even with a Klutz like me processing the data

I have uploaded the hires (8bit) image to one of the free hosting sites... only one page of adverts which you have to wait 10s on before you get to the download and seems to have a fairly decent download speed...
