I decided to come here early as it was supposed to be clear last night and the Lyrid meteor shower peak was in the early hours of Wednesday. Dissapointingly the skies clouded over and i only saw 2 lyrids. It did clear now and again and the skies looked very good to the south and west. I could easily make out the Coma Berenlces Cluster naked eye.

The campsite is immaculate the rally field has marked out very large pitches.The only downside is the noise from a nearby road in the morning from 7.00am and loads of tweeting birds including ducks, a rooster and peacocks .)

The toilet is a bit of a trek so it might be worth bringing a camping toilet or bucket .)
