Finding darker skies is getting tougher in Norfolk and Suffolk now.

A long walk from Aldeburgh and you'll arrive at this special place. So much sky glow from Felixstowe, but at least it's partly shielded.

5 minutes for the foreground and 4 x 4 minutes for the sky, taken with a 14mm lens and Ioptron Sky Guider Pro, between midnight and around 01:30hrs this morning.

It really is a cracking spot... apart from the Felixstowe glow!

What month did you take these in? Judging by the position of the MW, I’d say later in the year? 
I need to get back in May for another attempt.

Single shots, 5D3, Canon 16-35mm set at 16mm, 30 seconds, ISO 1600/3200.
