Confession time - I've not been posting here for years!

Yes, I'm afraid I went to the darkside - Facebook for a few years, but recently I've been having a torrid time there - the FB algorithms remove my astro images because they 'offend community standards' and now I'm restricted from posting in certain places due to this! Ridiculous and beyond reasonable and of course, there is no appeal or redress.

My images may not be brilliant, but I didn't think they were offensive LOL.

So, I'm going to pick up using the forum again instead and borrox to FB!

That's a bit much coming from the company and whose [current] CEO wants to launch as many Starlink satellites into orbit as possible.

Welcome back! and I can’t imagine how astro images can be offensive, somehow I feel the answer would anger me.

One guy suggested it’s creationists who bombard FB with complaints about images that disprove their beliefs. I don’t know about that, but the removal has happened to at least 3 of my images. I’ll post some in the DSO section.

fb is owned by mark zuckerberg.

elon musk is who owns starlink, spacex, tesla, and now recently twitter.

 

ive had issues with fb saying photos i posted were offensive too. i even tried to have them reexamine them, but it didnt do any good. they are just nuts over there. my wife still uses fb but i tired of their bs and left them a while back.
