Recommended Posts

I recently took a picture of Venus and as a noob I do not know I think it is. I took it around 5:30 (the pic) and I am in central Florida. using a camera.

Which direction were you facing  ??  How high above the horizon were you looking??

An astronomy app like Stellarium is really useful to identify the brighter objects if you are unfamiliar with the sky.

This is the view for Florida (ish)   this morning at 5:30.        You have quite a display of planets there.

yeah - that pic is far too magnified and slightly out-of-focus. You are seeing that pattern from the camera lens.

As others have said, get a sky atlas app on your phone or laptop/PC and see what is visible in that direction and time from your location. There are lots of free options available - particularly Stellarium on a PC.

A wide-angle photo with some stars to give context would help people here identify it, too.
