Jupiter and Saturn 22-08-21 Mak 180

These were taken on the 22nd through a MAK 180 with ASI 120 colour and mono cameras. I have been struggling for years to get what I would class as a clean image but thanks to advice and comment particularly from  Neil and some others on this forum I finally think I'm getting somewhere. You never stop learning which is great !

Thanks  Angie. The video files didn’t look that good so I was pleased with what came out after processing

Thanks Neil. I feel I'm starting to get somewhere. Looking forward to the planets getting higher up in the future but its good to know you can still image with them so low.

Very nice sharp images. One thing i have learned is, if the data is good, save it and go back and play with the processing. You never stop learning, you can not recapture the data but you can certainly reprocess as many times as you like.

Thanks Pete. Totally agree with that comment. I used to process and clear the files and often wished I hadn't. A few subtle changes in processing seem to make a big difference. Trevor
