Horsehead and Flame (L Extreme)

2.4 hours on the Horsehead and Flame. 300s subs at iso 800 using the canon 550d (modded) using the L Extreme DUO NB

This is my first image that im truely happy with it's take a while but I got there. Any tips or advice would be welcome.

50mm Uniguide with 120mm mini

HEQ5 Pro belt modded

Canon 550d (Modded)

Stacked in DSS and processed in PS

Very nice image - and nicely processed.

May I suggest you post the jpg or maybe png so it shows up on the thread and members don't have to download 170MB file and open a viewer, that way you're likely to get more feedback.

That came out nice, good detail and processing.

Must have been fun trying to focus with the extreme filter on,

Can be a bit of a job even with a dedicated astro camera.

I just use the focusing plan on apt and do 10 sec expsoure with 10 sec pause it helps knowing you rough focus point though.
