alacant
Hi everyone Another target to tick for full moon nights. This one was found by chance, scouring kstars' map as far away from the moon as possible. I was surprised how much nebula was picked up under such conditions. There's even a bit of blue. Please post if you've any experience of this type of target; I've an idea it extends far beyond that which I've captured and I've never had much luck with them. This was 2 hours in 4 minute frames. A nice change from 'Cygnus red'! Thanks for looking and clear skies. eos700d @ ISO800 on a 6" f5 Newtonian. Stuart1971
Superb as I said before, I can’t offer any advice, as I am not experienced enough to give you any, that will improve it....lovely star colour and a great background...also great star shapes right to the corners... 👍👍
steppenwolf
Just a tiny point, this is IC 5076 rather than NGC 5076 which explains why I couldn't find it after viewing your excellent image of this reflection nebula!!
wxsatuser
Looks very good to me. We see lots of emission nebs so nice to see the odd reflection.

bottletopburly
Nice image Alcant there’s ha dust in the nebula to be had ,probably more data required , I had 4 hrs on mine ,and another 4hrs may bring more detail ,I like your stars I think I need to trim my draw tube a tad not as nice as yours . alacant
Thanks. Yeah, as I suspected. Your nebula extends over a far greater zone than mine. Lovely image.
MarkAR
That's a lovely image, might be small but well processed.

I find the Nikon has a better response in red to my old canon 1000d stock

The canon alwAys seems orange. I see you used a 200pds. That's 1000mm (?) so you're closer than I. That's a good idea for the size of this. I've nothing over 750mm ATM. I've a 200 f4 maybe for the weekend but that's only gonna give me another 50mm. Worth a try maybe.
alacant
Had the 8" f3.9 for the weekend. Makes the 6" seem decidedly dim! A bit more nebula, but still no red...
