21.07.20 New Spot on SE limb. At about 8.30.

The cloud is endless and the seeing awful but I managed to capture the new spot on the limb.

I have my 88mm spotting scope rigged up with  Baader solar foil filter. G9 at prime focus for WL.
I should have used the G9 viewfinder but it is a real neck wringer around lunch time!
I'll try again later if the sun is still visible and the seeing has settled.

Looked clear and substantial this afternoon through the eyepiece in both ha and white light. That nice 3D depression effect with the wider penumbra on the far side of the spot than the near side - the ‘Wilson effect’. Thanks to Rusted for the heads up.
If it lasts, it’s going to be worth keeping the scopes (and cameras) primed over the next few days.

Between heavy/ light cloud managed to image the new AR 2767.

Genesis 100/500, Baader solar wedge, Baader x2.25 barlow, ASI 1600.

I'm sure it would look even more impressive under good conditions.

The surrounding faculae is pretty bright.
