March 31, 2020: 75 Mpixel Lunar Mosaic

Shot a 8 pane, 75 Mpixel mosaic of the moon this evening, using my Celestron C8 and ASI183MC camera

Echo here. Excellent! Last night the seeing was just incredible. I normally focus on sharpcap on 100% or 150% max because the image is otherwise too wobbly. Last night I could focus at 400% - S T U N N I N G!

I really look forward to seeing what some of the guys with the large scope have done last night!

Outstanding mosaic!   And it shows me pretty much what I can hope for with my almost identical rig whenever I manage to get 7 or 8 panels to stitch!  lol  (C8 and ZWO ASI 183MM).  But, to be honest, my C8 is on backburner now with my newest addition, a SW120ED.   I just have not had much luck with the C8 - likely a combination of not having adequately acclimated, and poor seeing.  The frac is just SO much easier and a bit less demanding of the seeing conditions.
