thing
Hi Locky, welcometo SGL. The first thing you ought to do is download http://www.stellarium.org/ and have a play with it. This will show you what's in the sky and what you are looking at. It's also totally free. Your scope will start you off but you would need something with a little more quality in the mount/optics region for astrophotography. But don't worry about that yet, enjoy your scope, learn where stuff is (Turn Left At Orion is a good book as well for finding your way around) and ask all the questions you want! This may not mean much at the moment but your scope is a 76 mil refractor (the width of the big lens at the front) with a focal ratio of F9.2.(the number of times the width of the big lens goes into the length of the scope, yours is 700 mil long.)
