Mercury will be best placed for viewing on this day, when it reaches maximum elongation from the Sun. At London latitudes it will be approx 10 degrees above the horizon at civil twilight (Sun 6 degrees below the horizon)

A great opportunity to see the innermost planet.

Neptune looks exceptionally close to Theta Aqr in that image, too.  Not sure it will be sufficiently dark to find it though.

Very close at a little over 2 arc minutes. Might be a challenge to see that low and in twilight as you say. Fun to try perhaps?

Thanks for this info Stu,  These events are very helpful. I really like it that they show the rotation ring for the planet in question.  Its also amazing to see Venus & Neptune in the frame circling the Sun also. It puts it all into prospective.
