M51 to get us looking forward to galaxies!

Finished this set in May and reprocessed it in a number of ways.  Seven hours of data of LRGB (Baader filters) Atik 460 and TEC140.

Great data there but can't help but feel it is a fraction bright stopping some of the detail popping out, there is plenty in there to be seen but at least on my monitor it is appearing a bit burnt out. I feel this could be better Steve.

I think Alan is right, but looks potentially like a great image.

I'd agree - there's a super level of detail here, but just feel it's a touch bright and yellow.

The tidal tails are super though!

That's much better than the original, which was still really good.

They are both great images, I prefer the second, toned down version, but I agree you may have gone a tad too far on reducing the saturation?

That is why I prefer image capture to image processing, the former is all black and white, if you see what I mean.
