I would say though, don't think everyone who blanks out their number plates is a scammer (although they def are in this case!)

I won't ever publish photos with my vehicle reg on the net because there are too many unscrupulous people out there! I even blank out the reg if I'm selling the car.

It could be copied and then you find someone driving around in a clone clocking up fines in your name.
